Abstract
This research aims to anticipate potential future transformations in the television production industry amidst rapid technological advancements and to examine their impact on production quality and the efficiency of technical and professional processes. It also seeks to identify the key challenges media organizations face in adopting and integrating modern technologies into television production environments. The study focuses on three main areas: the role of modern technologies in enhancing television production quality; the technical, human, economic, and organizational challenges associated with their adoption; and the impact of artificial intelligence applications—a prominent feature of contemporary technological transformation—on production process efficiency.
The study employed a descriptive methodology, utilizing a questionnaire to gather data from a sample of 400 participants—professionals and staff within the radio and television sectors. The sample encompassed broadcasters, directors, editors, producers, engineers, technicians, media researchers, and marketing and advertising personnel, as well as channel and station managers and consultants in technology and IT. This approach enabled an examination of diverse professional perspectives regarding the current state of technological transformations and their potential future trends.
The research findings indicate that modern technological advancements—particularly artificial intelligence applications—play a significant role in evolving television production processes. This is achieved by enhancing audio and visual quality, developing visual effects, improving content management efficiency, automating certain operational tasks, and minimizing human error. Conversely, the results reveal a number of challenges that could hinder the adoption of these technologies, most notably high costs and the need to upgrade the professional and technical skills of the workforce.
In light of these findings, the research discusses potential future transformations in the television production industry—specifically the shift toward smarter, more flexible production environments, the reshaping of certain professional roles, and the increasing reliance on advanced technical solutions across various stages of production.
