Abstract
Social media has revolutionized the way we use online marketing; offering businesses new and cost-effective marketing platforms. The study is an investigation of the influence of the advertising approaches of social media on the sales of herbal products in rural areas. This study examines the effects of promotional ads, influencer marketing, customer interaction, electronic word of mouth and educating customers on consumer awareness, intention to purchase and actual buying behavior. Study design is a quantitative research design that is applied to the respondents in the study, which is rural consumers, as the data were collected through a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis and hypothesis testing have been used to analyze the relationship between social media advertising strategies and herbal product sales. The results will highlight the positive impact of successful social media advertising on brand awareness, consumer confidence, and buying decisions, ultimately helping to boost sales of herbal goods in rural areas.
The study also highlights issues that can impact the success of social media campaigns, including digital literacy, internet access, and consumer skepticism. The research provides practical suggestions for herbal product manufacturers, marketers, and policy makers to create specific digital marketing strategies that increase rural market penetration and that can help in promoting sustainable business growth. The study adds to the existing knowledge on digital marketing and rural consumer behaviour by offering empirical evidence on the effectiveness of the social media advertising strategies used in the herbal products industry.
